Pairs Final 2nd June Little Yeo

Sunday's Pairs Final fished at Little Yeo on Bobslake was certainly a match of two halves with A section along the deeper dam producing very few fish to the tune of one carp per angler per hour whilst B section in the shallows gave up several very good weights. On a really hot day, the  carp were in spawning mode and were certainly occupying the shallower water, indeed, 4 of those 6 anglers each had over 60lb with Steve Barrell topping 130lb.

   However, it was Gary Butler and Eric Priest who took top spot on the day with 10 section points ( both 2nd in section ) and a combined weight of 53.450kg. Gary had 18 carp all on the 8mm pellet whilst EP could only muster 6 fish mainly on meat, Bruce Hunt ( 6 pts ) and Ian Williamson ( 4 points ) came 2nd on the day also with 10 section points but with a slightly less total of 48.450kg. Bruce could only catch the odd carp on the mugging rig whilst Ian had lots on the pellet from peg 14.

   3rd spot went to Mark Branson and Steve Barrell with a total of 8 points, Steve had the highest weight on the day using 8mm meat whilst Mark had 3 carp on paste. 

   Well done to everyone who participated, including the previous rounds- the Pairs is certainly a popular event in the club calendar !
